New Physician Spotlight: Lisa Stirling, M.D., Comprehensive Dermatology Group
Dr. Stirling is a board certified dermatologist who graduated from the College of Saint Benedict and St. John’s University in Minnesota with Summa cum Laude honors. She earned her medical degree from the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis, where she graduated at the top of her class and was a junior member of Alpha Omega Alpha Society. She completed her dermatology residence at the University of Miami Jackson Memorial Hospital, where she was exposed to a wide range of dermatologic diagnoses and various presentations in ethnic skin. She is held in high regard by her colleagues for her depth of knowledge and compassion towards patients.
Dr. Stirling is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology and has received the Women’s Dermatologic Society Mentorship Award and the Outstanding Achievement Award at the South Beach Aesthetic Symposium. She volunteers at Camillus House attending to homeless and underserved patients and she is actively involved with several skin cancer screening events throughout the year within her community. She has performed clinical research, including a clinical trial with lenalidomide in patients with refractory cutaneous T cell lymphoma, skin of color, and hair disorders.
When she’s not working or volunteering her time, Dr. Stirling enjoys traveling, SCUBA diving, rock climbing and playing soccer. Her husband is a Lieutenant in the Navy at Balboa Medical Center.
